The laws applicable in Belgium and the Netherlands vary slightly from one another on a number of points. Headlamp washers are a compulsory requirement in the Netherlands on cars manufactured after 1 January 2007. In Belgium, however, this is a standard aspect of the MoT test, so that all vehicles have to comply regardless of their age. Level adjustment is usually a standard feature on modern cars.
