What is actually the secret of Well Done™ and Mtec? Well, it

It is a popular misconception that one can easily install a xenon lighting kit in any car, provided the correct lamp is used. Unfortunately, this is often not the case. After all, every car maker incorporates various technologies in today’s products. A highly popular concept is the CANbus system. This is a system that controls and monitors all the car’s electrics, while identifying any faults and changes that occur in the car.

Our ballasts are specially designed so as to ensure that they operate perfectly within such a system. Each type of ballast has its own unique properties. Ballasts with either a high or low frequency, designed for use with the CANbus system or some other system, and with either a high or low voltage range.

Well Done™ and Mtec specialise in precisely the technologies applied in modern cars. This enables us to supply a high quality product for problem-free operation in the car or motorcycle for which it is intended. There are suppliers out there who try to avoid this problem, usually by fitting a so-called CANbus of relay cable, which are switched via the battery. This can lead to rather dangerous situations, such as overheating of the wiring. Furthermore, it is rather cumbersome, as additional wiring has to be laid around the entire engine compartment. Our products, on the other hand, operate without the need for additional wiring or resistors, as the technology is properly incorporated in the ballast.

However, we should not forget to mention the quality of our xenon lamps also. Our lamps provide a perfect light projection. This is crucial, not least in avoiding dazzling drivers coming towards you. The lamps produced by Well Done™ and Mtec also have a metal base, which is equally thick and the same shape as that of the original halogen lamp. Other suppliers often fit a plastic base, which has to be made thicker to compensate for the inferior rigidity of plastic. Unfortunately, these lamps then no longer fit properly into the car or motorcycle’s headlamp. As the lamps only fit in one specific position, this can alter the focus and therefore also distort the light projection. It is therefore essential that you take care to fit only xenon lamps with a metal base, in the interests of both your own safety and that of fellow road users.
